Notes: This land was initially the Donation Land Claim of Gideon B Davidson. Robert James Cameron first came to Jackson County by wagon train in 1852. He made two trips back to iowa by sailing vessel, and in 1863 returned again by wagon train with a 16-year-old bride, Hester LeFevre. They purchased the Davidson DLC in 1865. After many intervening owners, title was held by James Armstrong, Betty Miller and Paul & Jean Morken as of 1987.
