Notes: Melvin & Uvena Emily were the children of Ezra & Elsie (Lee) Arnold. Lucille DeWolfe was the daughter of Sarah Collings, Melvin's wife. Maud was the widow of Hiram James "Jim" Arnold, Melvin & Uvena's brother. The Arnold family is chronicled in two books by Uvena's daughter, C. Ellen Wells - search Amazon for "The Secret Diary of Emily A." (Emily is Uvena's middle name). Cary Culy used the logs from the school to build a garage on Upper Applegate Road at Kinney Creek. The Culys parked their automobile there and took a footbridge over the Applegate River to their farm.
