Notes: Born in Portugal around 1849, he immigrated to the United States in 1861. Married "May" c. 1894 - they had one child. By 1900 he was defendant in multiple lawsuits for ejectment, return of property and payment of money. Appears in 1880, 1910 and 1920 census records. He died on April 10, 1922 and is buried in the historic Jacksonville cemetery.
