Notes: NW corner of the homestead originally settled by Lewis and Maranda Ann (Johnson) Geary, taken after the December 1966 flood. Maranda Ann was the daughter of a slave, whose extended family came to Jackson County in 1853. Lewis claimed to be a wagonmaker from Pennsylvania but was rumored to be an outlaw.
