Notes: 23 Sept 2022 MBHS Facebook post: The Mail Tribune reported that John Pernoll was the father of Jud Pernoll, "former major league pitching star." Wrong. They were brothers, born eleven years apart. Henry Houston Pernoll (1888-1944) had many nicknames: Hud, Jud, Piano Legs, Buddy, Busher. This 1911 card accurately shows that he pitched left-handed. He played professionally 1907-15, including two seasons in the majors with the Detroit Tigers. He then ran the Owl Billiards Parlor in Grants Pass.
